Animation: a Mac screen with a team chat app open. Someone holds control and option and asks “How do I add a channel?”. Twin's notch grows into a card, answers out loud “Okay, so click the plus next to Channels, then give it a name”, and Twin's pointer flies out of the notch to the plus button next to Channels.

  • How do I add a channel?
  • Book half an hour with Ravi tomorrow
  • samjhao binary search
  • Take notes for this call
  • Make a PDF of the ten best forts in Rajasthan
  • Close this tab
  • Email Ravi from my work Gmail

Nothing to open. Just hold and talk.

Twin is already in the notch, so there's no window to find first. Hold the keys, say it, let go.

On Windows it's Ctrl + Alt to ask and Ctrl + Windows key to dictate. You can change both in Settings › Keys.

controloption

Hold to ask

Twin listens, looks at your screens and answers out loud. While you talk, rest the mouse on what you mean, or circle it.

functioncontrol

Hold to dictate

Your words go into whatever text box you're in, with the ums taken out. Tap twice to keep talking hands-free.

Or just say it

Turn on Wake Twin by voice in Settings › Keys, say “What's good, Twin” (or “Hey Twin”) and ask. No keys needed, and the phrase is heard on your computer only.

What you can hand to Twin

Six things it does today, each shown the way it looks on your screen.

Circle it, then ask.

While you hold ⌃⌥, rest the mouse on the thing you mean, or draw a loop around it. Twin answers about exactly that: a chart, an error, a paragraph, a file on your desktop.

Ask how to do something and it walks you through, one step at a time, waiting while you click. It points at icons as well as words.

It clicks for you. It asks before closing anything.

Say “open my calendar” or “reload this” and it's done. Anything that closes or ends something waits for your yes.

  • Right away: links, apps and websites, switching tabs, reloading
  • After your yes: closing, leaving a call, cancelling, archiving
  • Never on screen: deleting, paying, sending, signing out: Twin points, you click

Rather click yourself? Turn off Settings › Privacy › Let Twin use your computer, and Twin only points and tells you what to click or type.

Talk into any text box.

Hold fn ⌃ and speak. Twin drops the ums, applies your “Thursday, no, Friday” and types it where your cursor is, in the tone of the app you're in.

If no text box is selected, the words wait on your clipboard. Nothing you said is lost.

Hand off the longer jobs.

“Summarise this contract.” “Make a PDF of the ten best forts in Rajasthan.” An agent takes the job away and keeps what it makes in its own folder in Documents › Twin. What it writes opens in an editor beside its chat: change anything, and export a PDF whenever you like.

In the cloud, every agent has a computer of its own on Twin's server: a browser, a folder for its files and a terminal. Watch its browser in the chat as it works, or take over to sign in, then hand it back.

Agents also research with sources, convert files, take notes in meetings and repeat a job every week.

Works in your email and calendar.

Connect Gmail, Google Calendar, Slack, Notion and fourteen more. Say “find a free half hour tomorrow and book it with Ravi”: Twin works through it step by step, reading first, and you can watch each step in the notch (in the pill on Windows).

Anything that sends, books, creates or deletes waits for your yes, and a yes runs it exactly once. Two Gmails? Connect both, name them, and say “email Ravi from my work Gmail”.

Tell it once.

Say “remember that I'm vegetarian” or “always answer me in Hindi”. Twin uses it in later answers and agents, and lists everything it remembers in Settings.

Edit a line, pause memory or wipe it. Passwords and card numbers are never kept, even if you ask.

Ask in any language. Switch halfway if you like.

Twin hears you in any language, even when a sentence changes language halfway, like “meeting kal 3 baje rakh do”. It answers out loud, and what it writes for you comes back in your language too.

Who listens, answers and speaks

Listens
Deepgram, which picks up your language as you talk, even when you switch mid-sentence.
Answers
Twin's Azure model, which also writes for agents, notes, tasks and dictation, in your language.
Speaks
Cartesia's voices: ten natural ones (American, British, Australian) for English and every other language.
Indian languages
Sarvam: Saaras listens, Sarvam's model answers and Bulbul speaks, in the Indian voices that say them best.

Settings › Microphone › Language you speak: leave it on Any language, or pick Indian languages to have Sarvam listen and answer. Settings › Voice has a picker for each set of voices.

It looks only when you ask.

Twin takes a screenshot while you hold ⌃⌥ (or say “What's good, Twin”), and not otherwise. It doesn't keep the screenshots, the apps have no analytics, and what it remembers is yours to read, pause and wipe.

  • Passwords, PINs, card numbers and Aadhaar numbers are never remembered, even if you ask.
  • Sign-ins to your apps are held by Composio, not stored on your computer.
  • Delete your account and what Twin remembers about you goes with it.

Where does Twin live, and what does it do?

An assistant that lives in your Mac's notch, or in a small pill at the top of the screen on Windows. Hold ⌃⌥ and ask about what's on your screen: Twin answers out loud, points at things with its own pointer, and clicks for you when you ask. Hold fn ⌃ to dictate into any text box. For longer jobs, agents work in the background and come back with a document.

Will it run on my computer?

Macs with macOS 14.2 or later, Apple silicon or Intel. On a Mac with a notch Twin sits in it; on other screens it floats as a pill at the top. On Windows, Windows 10 (version 2004 or later) or Windows 11, 64-bit, where it lives in a pill at the top of the screen.

When does Twin look at my screen?

Only when you ask: while you hold ⌃⌥ (or after you say “What's good, Twin”, if you've turned that on), when it takes a screenshot of each display, and again when something you started needs to see the next step. The rest of the time it isn't looking.

Will it click things for me?

When you ask it to do something, yes. Everyday things that are easy to undo happen right away: opening a link, an app or a website, switching tabs, reloading. Anything that closes or ends something, like closing a tab or leaving a call, waits until you say yes. On screen, Twin never deletes, pays, sends, submits or signs out: it points at that button and leaves the click to you.

Will it send an email without asking me?

Not unless you say so. Twin reads straight away, but anything that sends, books, posts or changes something in your apps waits for your yes. “Book half an hour with Ravi tomorrow” ends with Twin asking whether to send the invite. If you answer “Always for this agent”, that agent stops asking for that app (never for payments) until you stop allowing it in its ⋯ menu.

What does Twin remember?

What you tell it about yourself and how you like things done: “I'm vegetarian”, “answer me in Hindi”, the project you're on. Small talk and one-off questions about the screen aren't kept, and what's on your mind fades after 30 days. Every memory is listed in Settings › Memory, where you can pause, edit or wipe them.

Which languages does Twin speak?

Twin understands you in any language, even when you switch mid-sentence. It answers out loud in English; in Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi and Odia; and in Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Japanese and Russian. It answers in English unless you set Settings › General › Language to match how you speak, or to one language. Natural voices speak English and the worldwide languages, and Sarvam's Indian voices speak Indian languages; choose Indian languages in Settings › Microphone to have Sarvam listen and answer too. Dictation's tidy-up can be set to 22 languages.

What does Twin cost today?

Nothing: billing isn't switched on, so every signed-in account uses all of Twin for free. The pricing page shows the plans we intend to offer.
