1. Who we are
Twin is made by Mavrix AI (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the Twin apps for Mac and Windows, Twin's server that the apps talk to, and this website, wsgtwin.com.
Questions or requests about your data go to bbhanotr@wsgtwin.com.
2. The short version
- Twin looks at your screen only when you ask: while you hold ⌃⌥ (Ctrl + Alt on Windows), after you say “What's good, Twin” if you've turned that on, or when a step you started needs to see it again.
- Your requests go through Twin's server, which holds the keys, to the AI services listed below. The apps never call them directly.
- Twin doesn't keep your screenshots or your voice recordings.
- What Twin remembers is yours to read, edit, pause and delete. Passwords, card numbers and ID numbers are never remembered.
- The apps and this website have no analytics or advertising, and we don't sell your data.
3. What Twin sends, and when
Your screen
While you hold the ask shortcut (or after you say the wake phrase, if you've turned it on), Twin takes a screenshot of each display, along with the names of the buttons and fields in the app in front, and where your pointer is. It also does this when a step you started (a task or a walk-through) needs to see the next screen. Screenshots go to Twin's server: when you speak any language, Twin's model on Microsoft Azure looks at them to answer; for Indian languages, Sarvam AI reads the text on them. Twin doesn't store screenshots; the text read from a screen is kept for one minute so a follow-up question doesn't read the same screen again.
Your voice
While you hold either shortcut, your microphone streams to be written down: to Deepgram when you speak any language, or to Sarvam AI for Indian languages. With Wake Twin by voice on, your computer listens for the phrase itself and sends nothing until you say it. Spoken answers are made from their text by Cartesia (English and other languages) or Sarvam AI (Indian languages). If you ask Twin to take notes, it records your microphone and, if you allow it, your computer's sound, and sends it in pieces of about 25 seconds; each piece is deleted from your computer once it's transcribed. Please tell people when you're recording them; Twin reminds you to.
What you ask, and the answers
Your words, the answers, and what you type to agents go to the AI services below to be answered. When you're signed in, your questions and answers are saved to your account so they're on your other devices.
Files you hand to Twin
Compressing, resizing and converting pictures and PDFs happens on your computer. When an agent reads a file for you, your computer reads it and sends its text, or, for PDFs, scans and photos, the pages themselves, to Sarvam AI. Video and audio conversions upload the file to Twin's media worker, which deletes its copies after the job and anything left over within a day.
Your connected apps
If you connect apps such as Gmail or Google Calendar, Twin reads from them when you ask it to, and sends, books, posts or changes things only after you say yes.
4. Who handles your data
We share data only with the services that do each part of the work:
| Service | What it does for Twin |
|---|---|
| Sarvam AI | For Indian languages, writes down what you say, writes and speaks the answers. Reads screens and files. |
| Deepgram | Writes down what you say when you speak any language (the default). |
| Cartesia | Speaks the answers in English and other languages, from their text. |
| Microsoft Azure | Runs Twin's models: answering in any language (looking at your screenshots), writing for agents, planning work in your connected apps and steps of agents on Twin's servers, and making pictures you ask for. |
| TypeSafe | Picks the next step of a task from the text of what's on screen, and helps decide what's worth remembering. |
| Composio | Holds the sign-ins to the apps you connect, and carries out the actions you approve in them. |
| Supabase | Your account (your name and email from Google or Facebook), the data synced to it, and, briefly, the files of video and audio jobs. |
| Cloudflare | Runs Twin's server, which every request from the apps passes through. |
| Google Cloud | Hosts Twin's own machine in Mumbai, which stores memory (mem0) and runs background agents and media jobs. |
| DuckDuckGo | Receives web searches, sent from Twin's server rather than your computer. |
| Google, Facebook | Signing in. They tell us your name and email address. |
| GitHub, Vercel | Host the downloads and updates (GitHub) and this website (Vercel), and see your IP address when you use them. |
The Safety page explains the same thing topic by topic.
5. What we keep, and for how long
| What | Kept |
|---|---|
| Your account | Your name, email and sign-in provider, until you delete your account. |
| Synced data | Your questions and answers, settings that follow you (voice, pointer, language), agents' chats, helpers, and the addresses of connectors you add, until you delete them or your account. |
| Memory | Until you forget it or delete your account. What's on your mind fades after 30 days on its own. |
| Screenshots | Not kept. The text read from a screen is kept for one minute. |
| Voice | Not kept. A note recording's pieces are deleted once transcribed; a piece that can't be transcribed stays on your computer, next to your notes. |
| Video and audio jobs | Deleted after the job, and anything left over within a day. |
| App sign-ins | Held by Composio until you disconnect the app. Never on your computer. |
6. Your choices
- Memory: read everything Twin remembers in Settings › Memory, edit or forget any line, pause it with “Let Twin remember”, or use Forget Everything. Saying “forget that…” works too.
- Agents: turn off “Let Twin start agents”, or “Run agents on Twin's servers” to keep them on your computer.
- Apps: disconnect any app in Settings › Connections.
- Your account: Settings › Profile › Delete Account removes your account, its synced data and its memories.
You can also write to bbhanotr@wsgtwin.com to ask for a copy of your data, a correction or deletion. We'll answer within 30 days.
8. Security
Twin's keys stay on its server, sign-in sessions are kept in your computer's secure storage, and each account's data is kept apart in the database. The Safety page has the details, including what we haven't done yet.
9. Children
Twin isn't meant for children under 13, or under the age your country sets for agreeing to this yourself. If you think a child has given us data, write to us and we'll delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
When Twin starts handling data differently, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect, and tell you before anything important applies.
